FAQ
How is Evergreen different from other frozen waffle brands?
As a working mom, our founder needed a quick and easy breakfast for her growing family but wasn’t willing to sacrifice nutrition, quality, or - importantly! - taste. She knew frozen waffles were a toddler favorite, so she started looking at “better-for-you” options in the frozen food aisle in grocery stores. When she couldn't find a brand that checked all of her boxes, she started developing her own recipe in her home kitchen.
She was determined to strip out all the “extras” so often found in processed foods. She was making the waffles for her family after all, including her toddler, so she cared deeply about what she was putting in them. Instead of artificial flavors or even “natural flavors,” she used real fruits, vegetables, nuts, and spices. Instead of white wheat flour, she used whole grain wheat flour. Instead of refined sugar, she used maple syrup. Today, Evergreen frozen waffles are available far beyond our founder's home - in major grocery chains and for delivery nationwide - but they are still made from scratch.
Why is whole grain wheat important?
Most store bought frozen waffles are made with enriched wheat flour, a process that strips much of the nutrients and vitamins that naturally occur in whole wheat. Evergreen waffles are made with only whole grain wheat flour rich with fiber and protein to keep you fuller longer (and promote a healthy metabolism), as well as vitamins like copper, magnesium, and zinc essential for both growing and grown bodies.

How are Thick & Fluffy different from Mini Waffles?
Thick & Fluffy Waffles are bigger, heartier, and toast up golden-crisp on the outside while staying soft and fluffy inside. Mini Waffles are smaller and softer with a muffin-like texture — perfect for little hands, snackers, and flavor-curious kids.
Anyone can enjoy either, but Minis shine at toddler breakfasts and snack time, while Thick & Fluffy satisfy big kids, tweens, teens, and hungry parents.
Are Evergreen products nut-free?
While Evergreen’s Mini Waffles are not nut-free, our Thick & Fluffy Waffles do not contain any nuts and are made in a facility that does not produce any items that contain nuts. Although we follow strict allergen controls, we are not certified nut-free and we recommend that anyone with a serious allergy consider consulting a medical professional on the risk specific to their circumstances.
Do I have to heat the Waffles before eating them?
Nope! Evergreen frozen waffles can be enjoyed straight from the freezer once thawed - a perfect lunchbox staple or on-the-go snack. Want them warm? Just pop them in the toaster, toaster oven, air fryer, or microwave for a crisp, cozy upgrade.
How are Evergreen products shipped?
Evergreen products are frozen for freshness and easy preparation. We ship with dry ice throughout the US. Upon arrival, leave any remaining dry ice in the box and put it outside or in a well-ventilated space to finish evaporating. Do not put it in a tightly closed container!
What if I don't like the Waffles?
All Evergreen purchases are backed by our 100% happiness guarantee. If you or your kids don't love the waffles, we'll gladly swap flavors or provide a full refund with proof of purchase.
